Facebook arranged Air Jordans sale turns into robbery

SPRINGFIELD - Justice McDonald on Monday admitted instead of selling a "customer" some bargain-priced Air Jordans he robbed him in Holyoke.
McDonald, 21, of Holyoke, pleaded guilty to unarmed robbery and was sentenced to one to two years in state prison by Hampden Superior Court Judge Tina S. Page. He has 336 days credit on that sentence for days spent in jail awaiting trial.
McDonald, using the name "Justice Choice" posted a classified listing on a sneaker selling group on Facebook, Assistant District Attorney James M. Forsyth said.

On July 10, 2015, the victim agreed to buy the white Air Jordans for $150, which normally sold for a lot more, Forsyth said.
He was directed to the Holyoke Mall lot but then McDonald had him drive to another location.
McDonald grabbed the victim's shirt and pointed something at him that the victim believed was a gun. After being given $50 McDonald left and the victim called police.
